Why investing in coaching matters

When I first started offering coaching, I wasn’t entirely comfortable talking about money. Like many coaches, I wondered: shouldn’t transformation be accessible to everyone?
I still believe it should be. That’s why I have options in place for those who genuinely cannot afford coaching: pro bono slots and peer coaching exchanges. But here’s what I’ve learned about paid coaching: there’s something powerful about making a financial commitment to yourself.

Investment creates commitment

I experienced this difference firsthand when I paid for my own coaching. I turned up differently. I committed differently. And I was genuinely surprised by this. I already thought I was fully committed. But the investment changed something. It made it real.
When we pay for something, we show up differently. We do the work between sessions. We take it seriously. The investment isn’t just financial. It’s a statement to ourselves that we matter, that our growth matters, that we’re worth it.

I’ve seen this same shift with my own clients. Those who invest financially also invest emotionally and practically. They’re ready. They’re committed. And that commitment is where transformation begins.

What feels right for you?

If you’re considering coaching, ask yourself: am I ready to invest in myself? Not just financially, but in all the ways that matter: my time, my honesty, my willingness to be uncomfortable, my commitment to change?

If the answer is yes, that’s when coaching becomes truly transformative.

I now openly share my fees because transparency is respectful. It allows you to make informed decisions and ensures we’re both ready for the work ahead.
