I inspire and empower people to believe in themselves, feel enough, and embrace who they are and their purpose so they can thrive and live life to the full.
My story:
Despite being a veterinary surgeon for 20 years, I didn't feel that I mattered or that what I contributed made that much of a difference. In fact, I felt that I wasn't ever good enough at my job. I wasn't the smartest, the fastest, the kindest, or the most effective at my role.
When I stepped into a leadership and managerial role, I thought "who am I to do this role". I craved validation from others to confirm that I was doing a good enough job. I said yes to almost anything that came my way, just to show that I could handle it all. I was often the last one at work and I would take work home with me as well. I found I couldn't quite switch off at night as I was constantly wondering if I had done enough.
I was great at putting on a mask at work, smiling and saying all the right things. When I took the mask off at night, all that was left was a faint shadow of who I really was.
After burning out and reaching what felt like rock bottom, I realised that I had imposter syndrome and that I didn't feel worthy or enough. When I reconnected with my true self, I saw that my values no longer aligned with those of my workplace. I felt lost.
With support and guidance, I explored what mattered to me and how I could have impact and have meaning in my life. I learned about the "Butterfly Effect" which suggests that a very small change or effect can have profound and wide-ranging impacts beyond what we can imagine or see. It's like a pebble landing in water causing far-reaching ripples.
I don't have it all figured out. I do believe that developing a little more self-belief and self-compassion can make a big difference to how you feel and how you see life around you.
I believe that we all matter and make a difference in the world but sometimes we need to change direction or figure out the path that fulfills us the most.
How I can support you:
By creating a space for you to be seen and heard, to witness who you are, and by providing compassion, kindness and a place free from judgment and bias (as much as humanly possible), I am here to inspire and empower you to find your voice and your true inner self.
So, if you feel stuck, without clear direction or that you are just going through the motions,
if you've achieved or gained things you thought would make happy but you still feel that something is missing,
if you don't feel that you are good enough, and you need constant external validation to keep you going,
If you just keep going, and keep doing more even when you're exhausted, and you know it's too much but it still doesn't feel like you're doing enough....
Let's talk. I'd love to hear from you.
I'd love to see where you are and where you'd like to be if all went well and you could wave a magic wand.
