As a person whose preferred learning style is visual, to me a picture can speak a 1000 words . Outside my house is a field of maize. I watched the seeds being planted in Spring and today they are fully grown and a few days off being harvested. At times, when their environment wasn’t good, there wasn’t much growth and when their environment was good the maize appeared to grow overnight. They are now tall and strong, seeming to stretch towards the light, the optimum versions of themselves, independent from each other, unique, valuable, beautiful and so much more. I related this to my coaching practice, still in its infancy but I am excited to see clients, with the right environment, solving their own problems, navigating new paths, breaking habits, clarifying goals, gaining new insights, discovering their unique authentic selves and so much more. By allowing themselves the time to sit down, truly focus on what they want and how they are going to get it like the maize, if the environment is good they too can grow into the best version of themselves. If you think you can relate to any of the above, I would love to hear from you.
