Head Goals vs. Heart Goals

Many of us grew up believing that the way to know we were on the right path was through applause-through validation, praise, excitement from those around us.

A bit like the childhood game “hit the pot”:
you’re blindfolded, and the louder they cheer, the closer you know you are.

Except…
You and I are not blindfolded.
And yet we’ve let the outer applause guide us more than our inner compass.
Head goals often compete fiercely with heart goals-and your body always knows the truth first.

Feeling depleted while being told how “amazing” you’re doing?
Dreading opening your calendar?
A tightness in your chest every Sunday evening?
Dressing to fit an image rather than express yourself?

These are signs you may be building a life on head goals-goals that look right but feel wrong.

For the longest time, I believed that becoming an entrepreneur would automatically move me out of this pattern.
Because entrepreneurship should be heart-led, right?

Except-it isn’t automatic.

The garden of your heart goals can quietly get overrun by tiny head-goal weeds:

“I should accept this collaboration, even though it feels misaligned.”
“I should attend every networking event, even though I’m totally exhausted.”
“I should put my needs aside because others need me.”

Head goals are eloquent. Polished. Socially acceptable.
They make people clap.

And heart goals?
They are wild, sacred, sovereign.
Sometimes misunderstood.
Yet, they’re the only ones that make your body exhale and your soul rise.

Here’s the distinction that changed everything for me:
Head goals impress.
Heart goals express.
A life built to impress will always suffocate the woman who was born to express.

That truth woke me up.

If you’re ready to stop living for applause and start living from your essence, let’s talk.
DM me HEART and I’ll reach out to you with the first step I use with every sensitive, brilliant woman who wants to build a life that feels as good as it looks.

I’m Agakura, and I help sensitive women entrepreneurs go from invisible to unmistakable, by coming home to themselves and standing unshakably in their truth in love, life, and legacy.
