The Overwhelming Void

Overwhelm is something that’s usually talked about in the context of thoughts around present things, like having committed to too many responsibilities or juggling too many expectations.

But recently, I was reminded of a time more than ten years ago when my overwhelm came from the opposite place:

Not from what was happening…but from what wasn’t.

It was the absence that felt too much to bear.

The absence of a romantic relationship.
The absence of work that felt meaningful and aligned with my essence.
The absence of a place that felt like home.
The absence of true connections where I felt seen for who I truly was.
The absence of fulfilment.
The absence of taking action toward a life I wanted to live in.

My overwhelm wasn’t from presence, it was from void. I remember waking up each morning wishing the day would be over soon.

And my free time? Filled with encounters I accepted not because they nourished me, but because they distracted, and ultimately made me feel even more disconnected from myself.

As I write this, I can still feel the intensity of that season. It was real. And it was painful.

So today, I'd like to ask you these two questions:
Are you currently experiencing overwhelm?
And if yes, is it because of what’s there, or because of what’s missing?

I’m Agakura, and I help sensitive women entrepreneurs go from invisible to unmistakable, by coming home to themselves and standing unshakably in their truth in love, life, and legacy.

And if you’ve recently realized that your overwhelm isn’t from what’s happening around you, but from what your soul is still longing for, then I’d love to help you explore what your homecoming could look like.

Feel free to DM me and let’s get together for a chat.

Here’s to you and the bravery of your soul,
Agakura
