by Colette OwenWhether we realise it or not, we’re always creating impact at work.
How we communicate, react, collaborate, and show up shapes how others experience us — and ultimately, how influential we become.
The challenging part is that we don’t always see ourselves the way others do. And that gap between intention and impact can shape our reputation more than we think.
Coaching can bridge the gap. It provides a valuable opportunity to reflect and understand how you are perceived, strengthen your communication, and build the kind of impact and influence that feels real — not forced.
To get started, consider seeking feedback from three people in your network by asking them :
“If I weren’t present in the room, what five words would you use to describe me?”
Use their responses to reflect on the impact you are currently making and the one you want to make next.
When you understand your impact, you can shape it.
Consider what is the one word you hope people would use to describe you and what impact do you want to leave behind?
What part of your impact are you currently exploring or wishing to strengthen?
If you would like to some support to enhance your individual impact, let's have a conversation.
