I'm a Coaching Psychologist dedicated to learning how we can reach our full potential so we may lead a more fulfilled life.
This mantra encouraged me to study psychology as a way of unlocking the mind and knowing how to use it. However, I was frustrated to see that most of psychology was focussed on healing people who were in a negative mental state. While this is a worthy cause it did not align with my own goal of self-enlightenment. My journey took me to Paris where I learned and loved another culture, to London where I studied business psychology and worked as a leadership consultant. I have now accepted my role as lifelong learner dedicated to understanding what it is to be human and how we can live more fulfilled lives.
My coaching journey showed me the power of conversation. Through coaching, I have been able to explore a person and their unique experiences, helping them find solutions that will empower them to reach their own potential. This process has uncovered a wealth of knowledge for me. With every person that I have coached, there was at least one gem of knowledge that I took away.
I like to apply my psychological background to help clients be their better selves, both within their careers and personal lives. If we are able to live by our values in both environments, then there is a chance at having a more fulfilled life.
I have coached clients to achieve this differently, including:
- Transitioning to a leadership role
- Helping students find a direction post-university
- Changing careers or finding a dream job
- Increasing motivation
- Starting a business/becoming self-employed
- General self-development (public speaking, handling conflict)
In many cases, I work with the client to find their purpose and motivation. From there we are able to create a strategy that aligns with that purpose. When this happens, clients are more motivated to succeed and happier with the outcome.
HOW I WORK
The first session explores your world and the desired outcome you want from coaching. Through questioning and challenge, we will attempt to discover the underlying motivations of your goal. By doing this, you will gain more clarity in what you want so we can create an effective strategy to get there.
I also work with values. Values describe a way of behaving or being that you feel strongly about (e.g. courage, creativity, wisdom). By knowing our values, we are able to behave in a way that aligns with those values and reward ourselves for doing so. I will help you to discover your values using tools I've gained from my psychological education.
Finally, we will create a strategy together that will help you move towards your desired outcome. We will do this by creating manageable goals that are linked to your purpose and values. If I've done my job well, you will feel more motivated to complete these actions than your usual "to-do" list.
I offer a free 30-45 minute discovery call before starting coaching. Here we will talk about your priorities and how coaching may meet them. We will then establish if we are a good fit for each other.
Currently, I work virtually via Zoom or Skype due to Covid-19.
