I understand the challenges that you face, but I also know that inside you there is an altruistic teenager wanting to change the world. My aim is to help you find, build and harness that passion and drive, and to support you in becoming the best that you can.
Coaching is for me a natural extension of my clinical work as an NHS doctor. I am altruistic and driven by the will to help others, underpinned by my core values of kindness, fairness, and teamwork. I appreciate that professional expertise is only one of many factors that help people at all levels succeed and be happy. Whether you are a chief executive or a support staff member, a doctor at any stage or specialty, another public sector professional, or a business executive, skills such as teamwork, communication, personal effectiveness, and resilience are paramount.
In addition to clinical experience in my NHS career, I have extensive mentoring, leadership, and strategic experience, and a rapidly expanding coaching portfolio. I am a trained resilience practitioner, and am currently undertaking an ILM level 5 award in Effective Coaching and Mentoring. I am an affiliate member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, an associate member of the Association for Coaching, and an affiliate of the International Society of Qualified Coaches.

I firmly believe that people are their own best expert, and will strive to be the very best that they can achieve. I take the person as a whole, and understand that it is often not possible to separate personal circumstances from work performance. I am interested in how people’s thoughts and past experiences affect their present professional situations, and realise that this may be relevant in the coaching setting. My focus is on strengths, values, and resilience. My coaching is positive and solution-focused.
I use a mix of techniques to deliver the benefits of coaching as I don’t believe that one single approach suits everyone. I prefer to tailor my techniques to the needs of the coachee, and provide a supportive yet challenging coaching environment.
