Have you struggled to maintain a healthy weight loss balance, getting slimmer over a few weeks before putting it all straight back on plus more?
I have always had this issue, being overweight then going on extreme diets to lose as much as possible in the shortest amount of time. The problem I had is that as soon as the diet was over I went back to my old eating habits and started putting the weight straight back on.
At the start of 2018 I took a different approach and started to make small changes. I would eat healthier during the week and save all my bad cravings for the weekend. I also started adding extra time walking, taking a longer route from work to the train and having a small walk at lunch.
I started to feel much better in myself and what I was doing seemed easy, so I kept building on the steady progress I was making and researching what I could do to gradually improve day on day.
Over the course of 11 months I lost 5 stone and I did not feel I was missing out on the foods I loved or the alcohol I have always enjoyed. I realised that my approach to losing weight had been completely different to past attempts and the mindset I had adopted meant I wasn’t going to let myself fail and I was definitely going to continue building on what I had already achieved.
I now help others with their weight loss journey, using the tools I have acquired to make easy long term changes that will improve many areas of their lives.
