What do you do, when you want to do, what you don't want to do but you know you need to do?
There are times in life that we want to do things. The things that we know deep in our hearts that they are the right things for us to do. We know that if we were to somehow do these couple of things we could change our life. It will help us to grow, to be more ourselves. It can help us in one area of our lives or in many different areas. But what do we do about it?
If we have no issue then we live in alignment, we go ahead and do what we say we would do. However, more often than not - when we run into trouble with ourselves, we live without congruence. Without alignment if you like.
What happens then? What we want becomes, what we don't want in the moment. For example, I want to start working out. I know it will help my fitness and well-being. I say this is something that I want. When the morning comes for me to go for a work out, I no longer want what I said that I wanted.
This is the face of the ego and resistance. Resistance comes in many shapes and forms, from fear, to discomfort, laziness, limiting beliefs, excuses, lack of accountability, discipline and many more.
Sometimes resistance is visible and other times it's not. Would you like to discover what are the things that are keeping you back from the life that you want to live? From the things that you want to be doing but somehow you end up not being able to?
How would your life be different for you? How differently would you perceive yourself in this world?
Pause and ponder on that for a moment...
The fastest way to break resistance is either to detach from it or act on the thing that you want. Do that enough times and you will be doing what you want to be doing.
